This menu lets you open or close a program's debugging data file, select an executable file to debug or close the debugging session.

Open executable

This option lets you select the Windows executable or Java class to be debugged. The program's debugging data file is opened automatically.

Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + E.

Attach to process

This option lets you select an active process (Windows executables only) to be debugged. The program's debugging data file is opened automatically.

Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + P.

Attach to Web session

This option lets you select a Web session (WADELIA programs) on an application server to be debugged. The program's debugging data file is opened automatically.

Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + W.

Note concerning the last three options: the session is opened automatically if a previous debugging session had been saved for the executable; the session data relating to the sources opened, monitored variables and breakpoints is restored.

Attach to Adelia Cloud server

This option lets you select a Cloud session on an application server to be debugged.

Detach from Adelia Cloud server

This option lets you detach from Adelia Cloud server.

Close session

This option lets you close a debugging session. All the debugging data files are closed automatically. The session data (open sources, monitored variables and breakpoints) is saved.

Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + F.

Open program

This option opens a dialog box that lets you select the program's debugging data file. It is possible to indicate a directory within an archived file (in the .zip or .jar format). The archive file is then processed like a directory by the file selector.

A new tab for the program is then created in the workspace.

Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + O.

Reopen program

This option opens a menu listing the debugging data files for the programs most recently opened then closed in the current debugging session.

Selecting one of these files here opens it more quickly than with the "Open program" option.

Close program

This option lets you close the current program's tab of the workspace.

Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + F4.

Exit

This option closes the debugger. If a program is being debugged, it will be stopped immediately. The system requests confirmation before exiting.

Keyboard shortcut: Alt + F4.

Recently debugged executable list

This option displays a list of the most recently debugged executables for which the debugging session data has been saved.

The data for the executable's last debugging session (sources opened, monitored variables and breakpoints) can be reloaded by clicking a program's name.

Recently programs closed in the current debugging session

This option displays a list of the most recently debugging data files of programs that have been opened then closed in the current debugging session.

The debugging data for the relevant program can be reloaded by clicking a file's name.
