This menu contains options for acting on the objects selected on the work space:
delete or detach,
highlight or set to standard color,
normalize or adjust the size,
draw back or center the arcs (links) between objects,
select all the designed objects and links.
It is also possible to cancel the last graphical operation or to place objects of the current application area which have not yet been designed on the work space.
Undo modify
This option cancels the last graphical modification.
Delete the graphic
This option deletes the selected objects' graphical representation. However, these objects remain available and can be replaced on the current graph (using the Place option from the Edit menu). The Adelia object (entity, relationship) is not deleted.
Keyboard shortcut: Del.
Delete
This option deletes the selected graphical objects and links from the repository. Before deletion takes effect, a confirmation request is issued for all the informed objects (the objects which are empty and not informed are immediately deleted).
This option actually deletes the corresponding object in the repository (database) and, subsequently, in the CDM (unlike the Delete the graphic option).
Detach
This option detaches the selected graphical objects from the current application area.
Hold selection
This option opens a dialog box that lets you hold in the default correction the selected objects in the graph.
This option will only be visible in a correction environment and will only be active if the user has a default correction.
Highlight Color
This option replaces the color of all the selected graphical objects and links, with the highlight color associated with each object type. See the Modifying the object color of a graph dialog box.
Standard color
This option restores, for all the graphical objects and links selected and highlighted, the standard color associated with each object type. See the Modifying the object color of a graph dialog box.
Normalize the size
This option assigns to the selected graphical objects the standard size associated with each object type. This size corresponds to the creation size of objects.
Adjust the size
This option adjusts the size of the selected graphical objects, so that all the text that they contain be entirely visible.
The adjustment of the size according to the text is vertical and horizontal. It is performed by minimizing or maximizing the size of the object so that its design be adjusted according to the length of the longest text line and according to the number of text lines. The adjustment rules vary according to the object type. It is impossible to adjust the size of an object below a minimum size which is specific to each object type.
Draw back the arc
This option draws back all the selected links; the broken arcs become straight.
Center the arc
This option selects, as ends of the selected graphical links, the centers of the graphical objects connected by these links.
Select all
This option selects all the graphical objects and links belonging to the current graph.
Place
This option places on the screen the objects of the current application area which have not yet been designed.
It is divided into three suboptions, each corresponding to an object type of the CDM.
Entities
This option displays the list of entities of the current application area which have not yet been designed, so that they can be selected and placed on the screen.
Subtype entities
This option displays the list of subtype entities of the current application area which have not yet been designed, so that they can be selected and placed on the screen.
Relationships
This option displays the list of relationships of the current application area which have not yet been designed, so that they can be selected and placed on the screen.
