This is the list of compilation job requests sent by the Job manager to various servers (AS/400 and PC).

The job manager will perform these transfers and produce a report.

 

The list shows the following information, in the relevant columns:

 

Seq.

Sequence number of the job.
This column may also contain icons that show the job's status:

Icon

Job status

The job is being transferred (or being processed on a Windows workstation).

The job is held.

The job was in the process of being transferred or processed when the job manager stopped.

 

Name

Name of the job.

 

Type

Job type

 

Software engineer

Name of the software engineer who submitted the job.

 

Status

Status of the job:

Message

Job status

Waiting

The job is pending transfer.

Done

The job was transferred with no errors (to an AS/400), or successfully transferred and executed (on a Windows workstation).

In progress

The job is in the process of being transferred (or run on a Windows workstation). It is shown in a different color, and represented by the icon in the Seq. column.

Held

The job is held. this is represented by the icon in the Seq. column.

Not connected

The job could not be transferred because the destination machine (AS/400 or PC) was unavailable.

Errors

The transfer (or processing if the destination machine is a Windows workstation) terminated with a warning.

Failed

The job was being transferred or processed when the job manager stopped. This is represented by the icon in the Seq. column.

 

Date time

Date and time that the job was created.

 

Server

TCP/IP address of the destination server (AS/400 or PC workstation), or its host name, with the port number used by the daemon shown in brackets.

 

Middleware profile

Profile to be accepted by the server that is contacted with a view to sending it the job.

 

Platform

Preferred type of server to perform the requested job. You will see the message Windows, AS/400 or Java.

 

Priority

Priority of the job:

Message

Job priority

Slow

The job has the lowest priority setting (it will be processed last).

Normal

The job has a normal priority setting.

Fast

The job has the highest priority setting (it will be processed first).

 

Profile of submission for RPG and file compilation on the AS/400: when the profile used while opening the Job Manager is also an AS/400 profile, and the connection profile has at least the use authorities on this profile (*USE authority on this profile, or connection profile with the *ALLOBJ authority), the compilation jobs for RPG programs and IBM files will be submitted with this profile. Otherwise, they will be submitted with the connection profile. By default, the connection profile is HARDISPS (see the parameters USER_AS400 and PASWORD_AS400 in the ADELIWS.INI file). This profile was created automatically during the installation of the AS/400 part.
