(Step 3)

This RAD wizard tab is used to select two related entities:

  • The first, called primary entity, gives the main information about the program.
  • The second, called secondary entity, gives information that depends on the primary entity.

 

Examples for primary and secondary entities:

  • Customers and their orders,
  • Orders and order lines.

 

Lists

List of logical entities

The list presents the current application area's logical entities.

A filter above can be used to restrict what is displayed.

Single-selection list.

In addition to the button associated with the primary entity, you can select it by left double clicking on an entity in the list.

In addition to the button associated with the secondary entity, you can select it by right double clicking on an entity in the list.

 

Displayed data

Message

This text field under the list displays messages that explain how to proceed or if there was an incorrect action.

 

Buttons

Primary entity

Assigns the selected entity from the list as primary entity. The entity then takes the text of the button as a name.

 

Secondary entity

Assigns the selected entity from the list as secondary entity. The entity then takes the text of the button as a name.

 

Options

Opens a dialog box to define the RAD wizard's options.

 

Previous

Displays the previous window, i.e., the choice of scenario.

 

Next

Displays the window used to select the graphical representation.

This button is only enabled if two entities have been selected and at least one join is defined.

If this is not the case, a tooltip indicating the missing information will be displayed when you move the mouse over this button. Moreover, the corresponding field is highlighted with a different background color.

 

Exit

Prompts the user to save the information entered before closing the RAD wizard.
