The Conceptual Data Model is the static representation of all the data handled in the Information System (I.S.).
The modeling complies with the INDIVIDUAL (or ENTITY-RELATIONSHIP) formalism which is based on three main concepts:
the entity,
the property,
the relationship.
The entities (or subtype entities) are the main items carrying data.
They gather the basic data (properties) relating to a single topic.
The relationships are used to describe the links between these various entities.
The application permits an easy management and handling of all these objects. These can also be viewed by means of a graphical representation.
