A product can have a series of standard features, plus other features specific to certain customers.
Production - Correction
These environments are used to maintain the standard part of the product.
Customer #1 – Customer #2
These environments are used to develop customer-specific functionality. They can receive corrections from the product's standard environments. If these corrections affect objects that are part of specific development projects, the correction validation analysis will detect the contradictory corrections and inform the user. The user can then either choose to overwrite the modifications from the specific environment with those in the standard environment, or else manually reproduce the standard environment's corrections in the specific environment.
Alternative configuration
If you convert the development environments for the specific part of the product into production environments, you can maintain the specific part using corrections, while still receiving the standard part's corrections (see example 4 for information on setting up such environments).
