The job manager's role is to:
automatically detect (by checking every 15 seconds) the tasks submitted during a session,
perform a number of operations itself,
distribute other operations to the various AS/400 and PC servers.
All operations are displayed via the job manager's graphical interface. This gives you details of each job's status, type, priority and the server on which it must be processed.
With generation operations performed by the job manager itself, you can consult a report; this is also the case where jobs are submitted to PC servers.
With jobs submitted to an AS/400 server, a messaging system is used.
