To copy an object, you need to select either:

Note: Object is used here as a generic term, for the sake of convenience in the documentation. It does not exist as such in Adelia's dialog boxes. For example, Object may be replaced by Data type in the case of the LDM/PDM screen.
The dialog box displayed is the object definition box. In this case, all the fields can be modified.
This is the case, for instance, when a task is copied.
A specific copy dialog box is displayed.
This is the case, for instance, when a management rule is copied.
Name and type of the object to be copied.
Name of the object created by copy.
This name must be a valid object name (as defined by IBM), unique among the names of objects the same type in the environment.
Length: 15 characters maximum.
Mandatory entry.
Description of the object created by copy.
By default, this field is initialized with the copied object's description.
This button creates a new object.
All the information associated with the original object is automatically assigned to the new object, except for the management rule assignments and application area attachments (the new object is attached to the current application area only).
The various fields of the dialog box are verified. If all are valid, the object definition is updated in the database before the dialog box is closed. Otherwise, an error message is displayed.
This button closes the dialog box without validating the copy.
Keyboard shortcut: Esc.
The dialog box displayed is an object-specific copy dialog box.
This is the case, for instance, when a conceptual property is copied.
